Ghiggini Alessia

Italy

Pegaso di mare [Sea Pegasus], 1994

The artist’s intention was to design and sculpt a work of a subject inherent in the dreamlike osmosis of animal and human, thus attempting to escape the fantasy of reality. In the end, however, the latter imposes itself, and transforms them into almost disturbing figures that nonetheless reveal in their themes the possibility of becoming a negative metamorphosis.
