Trono [Throne], 1998

Working with sharp lines, the artist has carved a throne out of stone. There is an immediate reference to the legend of the nearby Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Angelo, according to which the wooden statue of the Virgin venerated in the church was found by fishermen on a throne made of Istrian stone.
