The artist has thought of a ‘living’ subject, momentarily slumbering in a pose to be respected. And who more than a child can be embraced by the love of the cliff, by which it seems to be held. And the sculpture, punctilious, exact, almost maniacal is now part of a whole to which it will be bound in the course of time.
