Capitani coraggiosi [Captains Courageous], 1993

This naif tells a tale, and in order to tell it, the sculptor has used two stones. The story is about a sailing ship, portrayed by the figurehead on the left and upper part of the rock, which sets sail from Caorle amidst the festivity of the people, on the upper right where the festivity is represented by the sun- However, the ship has to fight against pirates emerging from the horizon of the sea – as it can be seen on the lower part of the rock – who want to steal the treasure, portrayed by a pearl carved on the second rock, while the captain with his arm stretched out between the two rocks tries to grab it.
